Continuing the Expansion of JAK’s Fleet

Jawar Al Khaleej (JAK) continues to advance its fleet development strategy, marking another milestone in the company’s ongoing expansion and modernization efforts.

On 22 January 2026, Kommer Damen, Chairman of Damen, and JAK Chairman Baydaq Al Jazaeri met in an informal meeting at Jumeirah Mina Al Salam Hotel. During the meeting, JAK reaffirmed its intention to further expand its fleet as part of its long-term growth strategy.

JAK and Damen have collaborated across a wide range of newbuilding projects over the years, with JAK having acquired more than 25 new vessels from Damen to date. This partnership has played a central role in supporting JAK’s operational growth and technical capabilities.

The planned fleet expansion—together with three new vessels currently on order and scheduled for delivery next month—represents the next phase in JAK’s commitment to building a modern, versatile, and future-ready marine fleet. These additions will further strengthen operational performance, fleet flexibility, and long-term sustainability across JAK’s marine operations.

The meeting also reaffirmed JAK’s ongoing newbuilding collaboration with Damen Shipyards, reflecting the depth and continuity of the long-standing partnership between the two companies.
