The Iraqi Ports Authority has awarded JAK a prestigious 20-year Service Contract to design, build, operate and manage a Search and Rescue Centre in Basra, Iraq.
The Centre will play a crucial role in mitigating the impact of unfortunate catastrophes and emergencies caused by man or nature, providing essential offshore and onshore support, for maritime Search, Rescue and oil spill response.
With this extended contract, JAK continues to build lasting partnerships with the Iraqi Government and making a meaningful, positive impact in the communities they serve.
The project will also encompass the construction of a dedicated project management building. This facility will house administrative offices, training facilities, and accommodation for staff, ensuring that the Search and Rescue Centre operates at peak efficiency and effectiveness.
