GCPI visits UAE for the purpose of visiting with DP World, Jebal Ali port

General Company for Ports of Iraq (GCPI) arrives to Dubai, UAE, home of Jawar Al khaleej to visit JAK’s headquarters and Dubai Ports authorities to strengthen ties between each other. Both parties were honored to tour and show GCPI their facilities, equipment, and infrastructure.

Capt. Naser Ali Sabt, Harbor Master of DP world, gave a tour of Jebal Ali porty control tower, which included their tanker and tugboat simulators. Both simulators could be used simultaneously to train captains to achieve the berthing and un-berthing operations. Capt. Naser also showed the control room which handled Jebal Ali Port, Port Rashid, the Palm and Dubai Creek, which gave GCPI an advanced and technological look at vessel traffic management systems. Also shown was a centralized automated container handling center.

During the visit which lasted 3 days, the GCPI team also visited with Elcome a well-known regional communications and navigation electronic supplier.

Workshops were also held on port efficiency and developments in port technology at JAK’s office with the presence of multiple other companies in the industry.
